Mesh Creation, Import, and Export

Generate, import, export, and compare meshes.

Voyager’s Mesh Creation, Import, and Export tools are designed to empower engineers with robust 3D analysis capabilities. With these tools, you can isolate and extract specific materials from your scan to generate high-resolution STL meshes that reveal every detail of your part. Voyager includes an Isolate Largest Body feature, which programmatically removes residual material and disconnected elements, simplifying your workflow and eliminating unnecessary data from your mesh.

For those looking for maximum precision, the Generate from Full Data option uses Voyager’s cloud-stored, full-resolution volume to create ultra-detailed meshes that preserve even the finest surface details. Although this setting increases processing time, the resulting accuracy provides deeper insights, especially for complex engineering and design challenges.

Meshes created in Voyager can be decimated to your preferred resolution, from lightweight files for quick web visualization to high-density models for downstream applications. The new decimation tool gives you full control over mesh size and resolution, accommodating diverse use cases from prototyping to production.

These tools open up a range of use cases across industries. Use Voyager to verify the integrity of manufactured parts, detect and quantify defects, and ensure compliance with design specifications. For iterative design and prototyping, create precise 3D models that support detailed evaluations and refinements.

Engineers can also leverage Voyager for reverse engineering, reconstructing components with striking accuracy, even in the absence of original design files. Whether comparing CAD designs to manufactured parts or analyzing successive iterations of a product, Voyager streamlines workflows and delivers actionable insights on every feature of your products.
