Inclusions are foreign materials or imperfections trapped within a material, component, or structure, affecting its mechanical properties, integrity, and performance. Voyager’s Inclusion Analysis, part of the Integrity Analysis module, enables users to identify, visualize, and analyze these inclusions with high precision. From solid inclusions like non-metallic oxides and sulfides to gas inclusions like voids and pores, and even liquid inclusions, Voyager’s advanced tools offer comprehensive inspection capabilities.
Inclusion Analysis allows users to adjust resolutions and thresholds to their specific inspection requirements, ranging from small, micron-level inclusions to more macroscopic defects. Once parameters are set, Voyager processes the scan data, enabling users to view and segment anomalies in 3D and across 2D slices. This automated analysis eliminates the need for manual, error-prone inspection methods, saving time and increasing accuracy. The analysis results, including data on positioning, volume, and sphericity of inclusions, can be easily downloaded for further evaluation.
