Establishing a Common Software Layer for Industrial CT with Voyager Uplink

August 3, 2026

Most manufacturers who invest in industrial CT invest in the hardware, then watch the value stall in the software: captive workstations, incompatible file formats, and scan data locked to one machine in one lab. Voyager Uplink ingests 3D data from any CT scanner and makes it usable across every team and site. This paper shows what changes when scan data stops being isolated output and becomes shared infrastructure.

What's inside

The paper walks through the four constraints that keep CT from paying off at scale, and how a common software layer removes each one:

  • The captive workstation, where analysis queues behind a single high-end PC and data drifts out of software parity between sites, and how a browser-based platform makes a scan finished at one facility usable within seconds at another
  • Format fragmentation across a mixed scanner fleet, and how Uplink sits over existing hardware and ingests the major CT formats rather than forcing every site onto one brand
  • Analysis variability, and how saved recipes let a team characterize a check once and run it the same way across thousands of parts
  • Data volume at production scale, with deployment on managed cloud, government cloud, or fully air-gapped infrastructure so the storage burden shifts to the platform
  • A case study with our customer, Axon: two teams a 12-hour time zone apart closing a dimensional and GD&T gap overnight instead of across three to four days, with per-incident cost dropping from roughly $35,000 to $47,000 down to about $1,200
  • A pricing model that includes every capability in one annual price, with no per-seat or per-module charges, at $74,000 for the Pro tier and $149,000 for Enterprise
