Description

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2025-2026 G5e school buses. The transmission interlock may allow the vehicle to be put into gear when the rear emergency door is locked. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."

Remedy

Dealers will inspect and repair the transmission interlock as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 25, 2025. Owners can contact Micro Bird Customer Service at 819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 25-115-EUS.
